What Goes Into a Media Wall
Every media wall we build is fully custom. The scope depends on your space and brief, but here are the most common elements we include.
Integrated TV Recess
Flush-mounted or recessed panel that holds your TV securely in place for a clean, built-in look. No visible brackets or messy cables.
Electric Fireplace
Wide-format linear fires fitted below the TV or as a standalone feature. We coordinate with a qualified electrician to handle all wiring and connections.
Slatted Acoustic Panels
Timber slat panels used as a full feature wall or as flanking sections either side of the TV. Available in a range of timber tones and finishes.
Open and Closed Storage
Shelving, display alcoves, and closed cabinets built into the wall unit. All cable management is concealed behind access panels.
Painted or Wrapped Finish
Spray-painted to any RAL colour or wrapped in a wood-effect, marble-effect, or textured finish to suit your room.
LED Lighting
Backlighting behind panels, shelf lighting, and ambient LED strips integrated into the build. Controlled via remote or smart switch.
Media Wall Styles and Finishes
There is no single template for a media wall. Some clients want a minimal, flat-panel design with a recessed TV and nothing else. Others want a full feature wall that spans the width of the room, with integrated storage, display lighting, and a statement fireplace at the centre. We build both, and everything in between.
Finish options include spray-painted surfaces in any RAL colour, wood-effect wraps, and natural timber veneer. Slatted acoustic panels are one of the most popular additions right now, used either as a full backdrop or as flanking sections either side of the TV. Shaker-style panelling is another option that works well when the media wall sits within a more traditional room design.
If you are considering interior wall panelling elsewhere in the room, we can design the media wall to match, keeping a consistent style throughout your living space.
We also build alcove media walls that sit within chimney breasts or recessed walls. These are designed to make the most of existing architecture rather than fighting against it. Shelving, cupboards, and display niches are built into the alcoves either side, with the TV and fireplace centred between them. If you need additional built-in storage elsewhere in the room, our fitted storage and wardrobe service covers alcove units, shelving, and custom cabinetry.

- Do you handle the electrics for a media wall?
